Crime against  a person case analysis Research a crime that has been reported in the media about any of the  crimes addressed in chapters 10, 11, 12, 13 or 14 in the e-text.   Prepare a 1-2 page essay about the crime you selected and which facts  support each element of the crime.  You can use the elements provided in  the chapter, the powerpoint or the actual law from the jurisdiction.   Review the syllabus and announcements for requirements and format.  Make  sure you cite your source.  The essay is due on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:59 pm.  If submitted  late, the essay is subject to a 25% late penalty and will only be  accepted until Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:59pm.  Each essay should have a heading which includes your name, date and  title. You should use proper titles if using last names–Mr. ; Ms.;  Officer, etc.  Only referring to someone by their last name is not  appropriate.  Make sure you proofread your essay for spelling and  grammatical errors.     Try using the following format when writing essays to help you organize  your thoughts.  Summary of the crime as reported, including relevant facts.  Explain and define the different concepts of the essay topic – for  example, if using a crime about murder, specify if it′s 1st or 2nd  degree murder or manslaughter. Do not use the general term of criminal  homicide. She  lived with her three children in a rundown apartment building.  She and  her children were supported by food stamps and other forms of government  assistance. When her three year old daughter seemed to have a fever one  night, the woman went downstairs to the busy intersection and hailed a  cab. The cabdriver refused to take her and the child to the hospital  because she had no money.
