How can you create your individual reference similar to mine?

  • Google scholar can do this for you automatically.
  • If you go on to Google Scholar under every article you will be able to see a “cite” option or for some of you it would appears a character that is next to the star. I have included the picture below. If you click on that character, it will give you a list with different reference format options.
  • Remember I want you to use the MLA options.

Alright now that we’ve talked about formatting and references, let’s talk about what I want to see in this submission.

I highly recommended your discussion to include the following topics:

  • Overview of Enzyme:
    • Enzyme and their characteristics.
    • Enzyme and their function.
    • Enzyme and optimal condition.
    • Why they are important in our life?
      • What would happen if we have malfunction enzyme?
      • What are some diseases or disorders that is associated with enzyme denature/malfunction or improper production of enzyme?
    • Overview of Amylase:
    • Amylase, what it is, its function and why it is important.
    • Overview of carbohydrate, starch and why they are important in our daily life.
    • What are some diseases/disorders that is associated with inability to digest carbohydrates or amylase malfunction?
  • Overview of Spot Plate:
    • Their functions.
    • Why do we use Spot Plate in experience?
  • Overview of Iodine:
    • Its function.
    • Why do we use Iodine in experience?
  • Overview of Bacteria:
    • What are they? Eukaryotes or Prokaryotes?
    • Optimal living condition.
    • Diseases/disorder that bacteria can cause.
      • Why are they important for us?
      • What role do bacteria play in our body? What role do they play in our digestive system?
    • How they reproduce?
  • Overview of Bacterial amylase (Bacillus licheniformis):
    • What are they? Eukaryotes or Prokaryotes?
    • Optimal living condition.
    • Diseases/disorder that bacteria can cause.
      • Why are they important for us?

    • What are they? Eukaryotes or Prokaryotes?
    • Optimal living condition.
    • Diseases/disorder that bacteria can cause.
      • Why are they important for us?
      • What role do bacteria play in our body? What role do they play in our digestive system?
  • Overview of the experiment and the objective of this experiment.
    • Don’t go too in-depth just give me a summary of the most important objective what why we are perform this experiment.

Part II. Discussion:

  • Third Person Only.
  • The BULK of your paper is here
  • Should start narrow content —> broad content

  • Make connections throughout this whole section

I highly recommended your discussion to include the following topics:

  • What have you done in the lab?
  • Why do you think this enzyme lab was important?
  • What are some of the real-life application that this lab can be useful for?
  • Why do you think understanding and learning about enzyme is important? What are some real-life applications you can think of with this knowledge?
  • Compare and contrast your Bacteria lab result to what you have research.
  • Compare and contrast your Fungal lab result to what you have research.
  • What is the optimal temperature and what does it mean?
  • Why do you think understanding optimal temperature is important? What are some real-life applications you can think of with this knowledge?
  • Why do you think understanding fungal and bacteria is important? What are some real-life applications you can think of with this knowledge?
  • What is your observation on the bacterial and fungal enzyme Amylase?  What are some real-life applications you can think of with this knowledge?
  • Based on your result how does your results on Amylase suggested its importance?
  • Is what you have for the result similar to your research? Why or why not?
  • What are some factors that could alter or skewed your results?
  • How can you improve this lab if you were to redo the enzyme lab?
  • Which procedures would you change to improve the lab and why?

III. Reference:

  • I would like for you to have at least 6 articles as your reference:
    • A good number of preferences you should have in total for your final paper should be 10-15 articles.
  • After you have finished your reference list similar to the one, I have given you above, I want you to pick out of all of your article 5 articles and write me a small one paragraph summary about what those articles.

For example, I will give you an example of a summary I wrote for one of my classes.

Article 1: Alsbjerg, B., Thomsen, L., Elbaek, H. O., Laursen, R., Povlsen, B. B., Haahr, T., & Humaidan, P. (2018). Progesterone levels on pregnancy test day after hormone replacement therapy-cryopreserved embryo transfer cycles and related reproductive outcomes. Reproductive biomedicine online, 37(5), 641-647.

  • Miscarriage affects one in every four pregnancies. Miscarriage cannot only cause excessive bleeding, infection, and extreme complications but also substantial psychological harm, including massive anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder for the mother who is going through this. Progesterone, produced by the corpus luteum in the ovary, is a hormone that aid in the preparation of the endometrium for the embryo thus is essential for a successful pregnancy. Due to the physiological importance of progesterone, there have been increase interest in considering progesterone as a form of hormonal therapy during early stages of pregnancy to decrease risks of miscarriages and excessive bleeding. There are two foundational reason as to why Progesterone Therapy should be considered in early pregnancy: the first is to prevent miscarriages who have a history of recurrent miscarriages, and the second is to potentially save a pregnancy in women who have started to bleed during early pregnancy since excessive bleeding during this stage significantly increase the risk of a miscarriage. The aim of this paper will be focus on exploring in-depth about the underlying role that Progesterone play during a healthy pregnancy and is there any substantial supporting evidence for the recommendation and encouragement of Progesterone Therapy.
