When giving oral presentations it is important to know who your audience is. You must come prepared to speak to that specific audience. For example, when using statistics make sure your audience is going to understand what you are telling them. If this is not something they deal with on a regular basis, then they may not understand the finite details you are presenting. So, you would need to adjust for that.

You also need to logical in your presentation. Do not skip all over the board with what you are saying. Think about what you want to present and do it in a logical manner. Start at the beginning, go on to the middle and then finish it up with a good ending. Being clear and concise in your presentation will help all understand the message you are trying to deliver.

Team presentations can be hard, but also very rewarding. When doing a team presentation, it is necessary that there are practice rounds for how who is going when and what they are going to say. Then when the big day comes you are prepared and look fluid like a team should look. It is important to talk-up your team and especially the next presenter. When it comes to the questions part of the presentation, do not be afraid to say, “I do not have that answer, but my team member Shannon does”. It shows that you know your strengths and weaknesses not only personally, but as a group.
